About SnoValuation

SnoValuation is a professional valuation and consulting firm specializing in ski and mountain resort businesses and real estate appraisals. The company was founded in 2001, by its current President, Brandon Hawks, MAI, following his tenure with the world renown mountain resort planning and consulting firm SE Group. Over the last two decades, SnoValuation has completed nearly 500 assignments, representing the smallest to the largest and most iconic ski and mountain resorts in the U.S. and Canada, covering 25 states and 3 provinces respectively.

Our longstanding presence, industry relationships, and specialized knowledge and skill provide the most comprehensive and current base of perspective pertinent to our profession and the services we provide. Quite simply, no other valuation firm has more specialized experience and historical perspective in the ski and mountain resort industry.

Meet the Founder

Mr. Hawks was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains just outside Charleston, West Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 1995. His undergraduate work at UNCW included numerous ethnographical excursions and archaeological excavations focused on Central American and pre-modern Caribbean cultures.

In 2001, Mr. Hawks graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Science in Business specializing in Real Estate Valuation, and began his introduction to the ski industry with SE Group in Hanover, NH.

Following a short tenure with SE Group, Mr. Hawks founded his current practice specializing in the valuation of ski and mountain resort businesses and real estate; what is now known as SnoValuation. In 2007 Mr. Hawks was admitted as a member of the Appraisal Institute, earning the MAI designation, its highest credential.

At present, in addition to managing SnoValuation, Mr. Hawks enjoys a life spent mostly outdoors with his wife and kids.
